Carriage Vineyards Manzanillo Extra Virgin Olive Oil is robust with a peppery (pungent) and fruity olive flavor. Complex oils, such as this one, have a degree of bitterness to match the fruit flavors and produce a throat catching tickle, hotness, or “pepperyness” called pungency. The sensation is not unlike what you get from eating ginger or mild chili.
Carriage Vineyards is a small producer of Arbequina, Manzanillo, and Mission olive oils in Templeton, CA located in the Paso Robles Region. The olive trees are sustainably grown on the hillsides south of Paso Robles with ideal conditions for olives. Carriage Vineyards’ olives are handpicked and immediately cold pressed to capture the superior flavors and consistency. Their oils are COOC Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
